When you buy a pack, we bind it to a published snapshot of the card pool and to a drand beacon round that has not happened yet. Nobody, including us, knows that round's value in advance. When the round publishes, the card is a fixed function of the snapshot, your claim, the nonce your own browser sent, and the beacon.
The receipt records all of those inputs and the result. This page re-runs the math in your browser and fetches the beacon round from the drand network directly, so you can see for yourself that the card you got is the card those inputs produce.
